10 Day Lolita Challenge Day 7: 7 items on your wishlist

Wishlists are important part of keeping you wardrobe on track. It’s really hard for me to make a list of my wants b cause I’m not accustomed to doing this for any aspect in my life. I feel like I have a certain look although before I started this 10 day lolita challenge I didn’t think I had a look or an aesthetic. When I did the Day 4 Challenge then vs now
I realized I had a certain style that flowed though out my favorite coordinates from casual to over the top sweet princess styles from 2012 to 2017.

The first thing essential to making a wishlist is going through and making an assessment of what you have in you’re current wardrobe. So January is the best time to take a good long look at your closet and look at items you might need necessary to make coordinates or to make better coordinates. I thought I had done a pretty good in this regard but last year as I assessed my wardrobe I noticed I was missing some necessary colors that would really make a coordinate much better. More often than not I find people’s wishlist full of dream dresses but often exclude the basics such as cardigans, sweaters, coats, scarfs, gloves, blouses, socks/tights, jewelry, shoes and even foundation garments. I assume that it’s because these items are much cheaper than a dream dress and one can purchase them more easily than searching for that dream print.  This year and last year while I will offer up some truly dream dresses prints I want to get back to basics and work on a more versatile wardrobe.

1. Cats tea party by Angelic Pretty
When cats tea party was available for preorder I really wanted it but I had just bought drained cherries and couple of other Angelic Pretty dresses. I did not have the funds to purchase it. It was really bad timing it was either go to Frill or miss out. I went to Frill needless to say while I loved every second of Frill convention I have always regretted not getting this jsk. I have always been searching for the grey but now I’d be willing to take any color.

The grey was also never pictured in the stock photos so it was risky to me at the time to purchase a dress without a stock. That’s not because I didn’t trust AP but my own pickiness only certain hues of colors look good on me.

2. Royal Poodle by Angelic Pretty

Royal Poodle 🐩 by Angelic Pretty oh my god this print, I’m sure you’re wondering why doesn’t she own this dress. It’s reasonable ranging from $80-140 usd. Well mainly because I always end up buying the newest flavor Angelic Pretty releases. What colorways well they are all great! I would most like the pink or sax and I want it with the pin badge it’s no deal with out it.

I would happy with either cut. It’s a print I’ve always loved. It has poodles on it and it reminds me of my sweet dogs that share my life. It also has the the same regal feel of cinema doll and British Crown. I thought last year the new Angelic Pretty print featuring a poodle would satisfy me. Much like deer prints I can’t say no to puppy print from Angelic pretty.

While Mademoiselle de Paris is great I would still like to get Royal 🐩 Poodle.

3) 3/4 chiffon blouses

3/4 sleeve chiffon blouses in pretty much every color
Last year I got a lot of reasonable short sleeve blouses which I love but I would like to get a couple that are 3/4 sleeves ones. I have sax, pink and navy that I’ve had for years but I want to try and get more.

4) A Angelic Pretty petticoat

I want to treat myself I have most of my petticoats for 10 years. They are great last year I ordered some new ones and they just haven’t held up unfortunately. I would like to get a branded petticoat so I can see if it makes a difference. This year I want to treat myself.

5) Turtle neck sweaters
So instead of blouse for winter I would like to buy some sweaters to wear under jumperskirts. Angelic Pretty older sweaters are perfect. I want to pick up some from wunderwelt or closet child. I hope they will fit.

6) New Shoes

I’d like to get some new shoes. Most of my lolita shoes are super old. I want to get some comfortable more stylish shoes. I would like comfortable cute casual shoes and some new brown and black lolita boots.

Most importantly I would like to get some comfortable casual navy shoes!!! I have a lot of navy some people might even say that it’s my signature colorway. Maybe I’m a navytarian πŸ˜‚ My current navy shoes are a bit worn and with me wearing casual lolita a great deal in need a casual pair and a fancy pair. Ideally I would like to get some exactly like I have now for casual wear but they unfortunately have discountinued them in 2014 but I had bought a couple navy pairs so that I would have some that would last me a couple of years. Now my last pair are almost worn out so time to search again. This coupled with my impossibly small feet I’ll be spending a small fortune πŸ’°to get something I love and that are comfortable.

7)  Short sleeve chiffon blouses

I’d like to finish my short sleeve blouse collection. I’m missing a navy and ivory colored short sleeve blouses. I’m extremely picky about where the short sleeve hits because some sleeves that own I don’t like where the sleeve hits. I like them hit right above the elbow and most lolita blouses I find hit in the middle of upper arm which hits somewhere form elbow and shoulder or a capped sleeve which are both super unflattering. This is mostly a problem because brand blouses are meant for a much more petite person than I am. These blouses generally are ill fitting for my body type both bust, shoulder, length of torso, and length of sleeve. I am looking for a reasonable or indie western brand that will make a blouse for my body type to fit my needs.

I know the last end of this list are a lot general descriptions but I haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for. If you know of these items please feel free to send me send them to me in a personal message or in the comments below.

What are your needs and wishes for 2018? I’d love to hear about it ❤️

😘 xoxo 😘 ,

10 Day Lolita Challenge Day 6: 6 lolita coordinates that you really loved

My favorite of allllll time coordinates that I’ve worn in a variety of  seasons and subcategories. It does seem I like winter best of all though.

Brace yourself for all the copious amounts of photos I took of various coordinates.

*drum roll*

 1) Puppet Circus coordinate from 2015 when my friends and I traveled to Houston. The my a ultimate dream dress I finally found and made this delightful

My friend Rosie let me borrow her staff for this photo

All the things on my head :) everything is handmade by me except the pink rose which I acquired in my Frill 2012 giftbag. The carsousel is made of handmade lace and designed by me.

This coordinate also received a snap in Kera and Angelic Pretty’s official website.

2) IW Lotta in 2014 when it snowed a ton. I love snow ❄️ it’s magical to me so when it snows in the Deep South in the USA it’s an event all to itself. We typically get about an inch of snow. That year though it snowed 14 inches. I got off work and just got to be inside and make hot tea and dress in lolita.

Lotta was one of my dream dresses so I searched for years until I got it. I also own the Bordeaux skirt. I’m really obsessed with deer prints ❤️

My ear muffs(swimmer) and collar(indie from Germany) were deer print, gloves were from swimmer and they are paired well with some chanel boots. My sweater is offbrand.

This a great day I walked to down to the lake by my house.

3) 2014 at SakuraCon in Day Dream Carnival

I love these mini boots but they cause my ankles to swell like you couldn’t believe. Also I was a bit too skinny here and the partially shirred version of Day Dream Carnival was too loose on me. But all in all I love the things I made to go with this coordinate.

Everything is AP except the shoes and the custom veil and lace carsousel. The AP sash in this photo is one of my most prized possessions.

This coordinate is one of my favorites because it’s what I met Maki in for the first time πŸ’œπŸ’œ she is like an angel on earth. She was in Romantic Rose letter.
4) 2016 at mechacon. I put together this witchy fall coordinate.

My friend made the hat Cece is amazing!! Every thing is AATP except the owl and bird cage. I programmed a robot owl so that it would flap and do cute owl things. It’s one of my favorites because Robot Owl πŸ¦‰
5) 2016 AP USA 6th anniversary party
Cameo window. This dress screams I’m fancy!

It reminded me of when I lived in Washington DC. It has all these places in Paris in the print. Some of these resemble places in Washington DC because of  the french designer/planner that George Washington hired. This dress reminds me of that second home. If you would like to read about the similarities to Paris,France there is a wonderful article here. I chose the AP letter  bag because I would write letters to Home back to my mother. I really love writing letters. I chose the AP pearl bird cage headpiece 1) because it’s very Marie Antoinette 2) I need to wear it to justify purchasing it because memes aren’t enough justification to own an infamous headpiece.

This dress always makes me feel regal and getting to meet the designer in made it perfect. The sash I wore echoed the french theme as it read musee du chocolat from the dress release of the same name.

Everything is AP except the blouse which is Lady Sloth. I would 100% recommend her blouses.

6)  I loved this coordinate that I did recently with Snow jewelry. It was the perfect weather for it. When I bought this dress I didnt think disney because I’m old and I genuinely really liked the dress without any associations. Then someone pointed out oh you get the Elsa color. I was terrified——what if I looked like I was in a costume. I wear Lolita all the time and I only do over the top styles if I’m going to a huge event. When it got it here all my worries melted away and I coordinated it with an AP beret and bolero. I like how it turned out and in fact I think it’s the best all year.

I had on a coat but you couldn’t see the the dress so in the name of fashion I took it off for the photo above. It was 8 F degrees. Will freeze for instagram snaps XD

Trying to be graceful to show off my lashes.
My boots are Innocent World regimental in navy. I’ve only worn these a handful of time because the small is too large for tiny feet that look too small to support my body.....But the boots are gorgeous.

I wore a polar fleece sax coat From Angelic Pretty πŸ’œπŸ’œ and tights from AP. These tights are some of my favorite they go with everything and they are perfection.

I love coordinating new and exciting coordinates but mostly I wear very casual coordinates and I didn’t picture of them here but if your into that then you can see some of those in the day 4 post.

The main reason i love these coordinates is because of the time I spent in them and I feel like it was different than my normal fixture of living my life in lolita.

Have fun making coordinates and have fun in them. That means being a normal person and sometimes they will turn out not like the other 6 but like the one above.

XOXO πŸ’‹

10 Day Lolita Challenge Day 4: 4 Outfits Then vs Now

The first time I wear any dress. It never turns out how I picture it lmao. I surprisingly haven’t changed that much. My dyed my hair and I’ve gained some weight due some medicine for my autoimmune but I look basically the same I did in 2012. I’m not really sure about this....

Sweet Cream House by AP

This was taken in 2012 at a friends Christmas party.

I had just gotten it in the mail a couple of days before and that happy grin on face tells you how happy I was.

Welcome to me in December 2017 in NYC. I very similar style but it’s a bit updated. I still really love berets and hats in general.

Cinema Doll by AP

Angelic Pretty’s Cinema doll reminds me of Chanel. It’s iconic. *cue glamour music*

Because of this I own it in three colors someday I will find you lavender Cinema Doll. Below you’ll find my Cinema Doll casual coordinates. It’s the best dress to be casual yet classy.

This photo was taken at the second year of Frill in 2013 by Nelson Lau. He is by far my favorite photographer.
Well besides my husband

In January 2017 Cinema Doll in grey with my hubby again

July 2017 I wore the pink color. If can’t tell cinema doll is my favorite print.

Shadow Dream Carnival by Angelic Pretty

When shadow dream was released it was a toned down version of sugary Carnival. While I love sugary Carnival( I own the Black colorway) its not something that screams subtle carrousel on a dress.

I wanted try my hand at doing something a little darker in 2015. I gave it my best try.

I used some nightmare beforr Christmas x putumayo collaboration items.

Then I did this coord in January 2016 for my local community fashion show. I like how this one turned out.

πŸ₯„Princess du Sucre by Kira Imai and Angelic PrettyπŸ₯„

This dress is the yearly special Kira Imai illustration dress released by Angelic Pretty. She also did Cats Tea party illustration(someday it shall be mine).

Picture from 2014. I was stuck in my house with 14 inches of snow.

Picture from 2016 from tekkoCon

What I noticed by doing this that I end up styling myself the same way most of the time. I’m going start working on doing some new things with my style that still is me but maybe update my looks a little. I also don’t take a lot of coordinate photos for whatever reason unless it’s an event or a meetup. So I’m also going to try and take more daily coordinate photos.

Xoxo 😘

10 Day Lolita Challenge Day 5: 5 songs that inspire me

I’ve never really thought about songs that inspire me. I do listen to music while getting ready. I have a playlist that I generally put on if you’ve ever been on travel with me you know I fire up my iTunes.

1) Fancy
I love clueless the movie. It was my go to movie in high school. This song encapsulated my feelings of now fancy and my past definition of fancy.

No music list is complete without a Bowie song and while I love a lot of Bowie this one always is great to get ready to for lolita.

I always feel beautiful in lolita and it doesn’t matter if others find me beautiful.

This song really describes me as a person. Ani Difranco is one of my favorite artist. A lot of these songs are bubble gum pop but Ani really captures my everyday in and out of lolita.

As much as the last one was deep this one is the opposite of deep. I love how fun it is. It was apart of the soundtrack for Sex and the City the movie.

Bonus songs:

Rich Girls

hey hey hey(I like the feel of this video all the Marie Antoinette feels)

I hope you enjoy this list even if it’s just a random list of songs.

XOXO,
Lulu

Lolita 10 day challenge day 3: Post 3 photos that inspire you

This one was really hard for me I had to think forever because I don’t really save that many photos as inspiration. The one that came to mind because I’ve been doing an New organization method and they ask you how you picture your space. Whenever I think of my dream closet not necessarily the clothing in it I dream of Angelic Pretty store.

The scalloped edges the cute colors of the hanging cabinetry.

The sweaters on shelves neatly folded. It’s just perfection.

The quilted drawer set that has ever so carefully laid out on top accessories waiting to coordinated.

My closet is white and boring while I have cabinets none of them are as pretty as these.

I hope one day my closet can be like walking into an AP store I could start off my day looking at all my beautiful things surrounding me.

The other things I find inspiring are Kira Imai illustrations. Which ones? I love them all!

What do you find inspirational?

Lulu

Interrupting your normally scheduled blog post: Should Lolita be fast fashion?

When I was a new Lolita ...... there weren’t very many places to get your fashion fix. We would all read live journal and later read/watch kamikaze girls and dream of brand. These days there are way more brands to choose from and there are new prints released everyday. Dresses are mass manufactured and there is a dress for every price point. This is what we dreamed of right? We dreamed it would be available everywhere so that more people would be able to wear Lolita and everyone could be covered in lace and be lovely. But has Lolita been on its way to fast fashion?

I think we have started on that path because no one can keep up with all the prints being released anymore. I look through lolita updates and get fatigue after the first 20 new prints before I type my desired brand name to see if they are releasing anything new.

I can’t help but wonder have we turned Lolita into just another Jusco brand of clothing. Jusco is referenced in the movie and book kamikaze girls. The main character doesn’t want to purchase ordinary fast fashion aka cheap clothing that are mass manufactured sold at good deals.

She wants special boutique clothing that harkens back to the rococo period. She uses all money she can acquire to buy baby the stars shine bright. She focuses not on the good deal or how cheap the clothing is but on the quality and decadence of the clothing. The Jusco clothing is fast fashion much like fast food it’s cheap and satisfies in filling requirements but isnt fancy much like a quarter pounder is food and while tasty it will never be a steak. Most fast fashion looks great on the hanger but sometimes uses poor materials, drape of the fabric isn’t just right because of poor construction and it’s not meant to last for a long period of time. Also most fast fashion doesn’t feel special because it’s widely available and if something happens to it then it didn’t cost too much and you can always find something else that you like that’s similar for a reasonable price. If you live in the USA then here are some normal fast fashion clothing example stores: forever 21, Charolette Russe, Costco, Sams, Target and Walmart. If you want something a little more expensive then you might venture to a department store.

This isn’t one of those blog post where I’m going to preach about how fast fashion is killing society or the earth. There are plenty of other articles that already do that. I am also not one of those unrealistic naive’people that thinks the lolita world is going to close all fast fashion stores. These stores serve a purpose for the consumer who can not afford(for the majority) hand sewn couture.

Do we even have fast fashion in the lolita community? Of course we do.  I argue that fast fashion should be used sparingly within the lolita community. So what do you mean fast lolita fashion? I’m referring to your cheap, cranked out daily lolita designs. Sure, I love that we have so many options of all these different dresses, blouses and etc. But.... Are we supporting quantity over quality? Let’s examine these constructs within the lolita community.

Before you get all this brandwhore ughhhhh she doesn’t understand my struggle please continue to read.

Lolita by definition is suppose to be a Victorian and Rococo inspired fashion. It’s not suppose to be mundane or ordinary. By making lolita a fast fashion you are allowing the fashion to be normalized. This sounds good right? Everyone will know what I’m wearing no more little bo peep comments here I come. I would argue that normalizing and making lolita a cheap and super mass produced item you are losing some sort of the magic of lolita.

Ok so now that I’ve throughly ruffled your petticoat let me explain myself. The details of some of the more expensive brands are cohesive to the dress. They have custom lace and details that carried through an entire dress and sometimes that connects from one season to another seasons clothing. This allows other accessories that were previously purchased to be used. This can be lost on a fast fashion brands that have a here today gone tomorrow philosophy. Many fast fashion designers don’t connect designs or collections they just pop out dresses as soon as they can get material printed. This leads to just more stuff that can mostly be used only for that set. There is no standardized fit from fast fashion, and most can not be washed in the washer. Most brand items can be washed in the washer in a washing machine bag on delicate cycle in woolite with cold water. The exceptions are some of the extreme delicate items or some of the older baby the stars shine bright dresses and ap milky berry print some dresses had problems although most were replaced by ap at no cost to the consumer.

use to firmly believe that if you are an experimental lolita and are just wearing lolita just to an anime convention then you could and maybe should purchase a fast fashion lolita brand to see how it would suit you. That way your investment isn’t too great in a hobby you don’t know if you’ll stick with. Today that isn’t the case due to falling in value in the brand second hand market. The second hand market today you can get a quality item for same price in good condition as you can a fast fashion item.

But wait.......... what about?

One large conflict I have with this dichotomy is that size matters. While back shirring and brands make lolita more accessible to larger sizing for the western markets it is still lacking for some. This is a niche market that used to be filled by small indie designer brands in Korea and western countries which have been struggling with the introduction of cheaper brands that are mass manufactured but offer custom sizing.

What if I just want more? More dresses, accessories and everything lolita. I have more buying power if I select the cheaper versions. I hear this a lot! That’s not necessarily true but I beg to ask yourself and truly answer yourself honestly would I rather a quality second hand garment that will last longer or would I like for the same price a New but fast fashion item.

In addition that’s all well and good but I’m not rich and I can’t afford a closet of brand. I get that you can’t support those brands directly but you can purchase on the second hand market which allows a lolita to sell her brand at an affordable price and then turn around and buy more brand. So you are inadvertently supporting the Japanese brand you like.

So earlier you say that fast fashion is necessary for normal fashion because not everyone can afford the haut couture hand sewn brands. The reason why this construct works in normal fashion is the sheer amount of people need clothing. Lolita unfortunately is a niche fashion. This means there are less consumers purchasing these clothing items. So isn’t this all healthy competition. I don’t think that the fast fashion brands should be compared to Japanese lolita brands. The reasons I’ll get to below. To me it would be like comparing hamburger and filet mignon. Both are beef but completely different.

Ok are you still there? Thanks for continuing to read. Keep going it’s going to get more interesting....We all own something that’s lolita fast fashion. So why am I writing this post? If I own fast fashion lolita items aren’t I being hypocritical making this blasphemy post.

Well maybe, in fact I hesitated making a blog post about this subject because the sheer anxiety of drama and accusations of elitism. I forced myself to broach the subject due to the overwhelming amount of smaller indie and Japanese brands closing. I wanted to examine and fully examine even my own excuses of why I make that fast fashion choice. I knew Lolita wasn’t dying because I get new lolitas joining my community at faster pace than in the past. I can only conclude that the consumer market for these expensive Japanese brands had shrunk but not the number of lolitas. I came to some interesting thoughts by looking at the history of all fashion yes mainstream fashion too.

The Japanese lolita brands are the backbone of the community without them then there is no one pushing the New styles and trends and moving the fashion forward. Some can argue that fast fashion can push trends. That’s simply untrue though think about regular fashion. I’m not referring to big box stores I’m talking about your haute couture houses. Those house set the trends for their off the rack collections that filter down to your department stores and finally to your fast fashion stores.

If don’t believe me listen to this clip I have posted below from Devil Wears Prada.

If you support the Japanese brands you are helping decide what appears in the fast fashion markets. Wow so your purchasing power while different is helping shape what will appear in fast fashion markets which means more stuff you like.

But a community without the Japanese brands leading the way then fast fashion brands would soon fade by repeating ideas until it fizzles out.

This isn’t to keep you or anyone from purchasing fast lolita fashion. It is simply to say don’t purchase all your purchases from fast lolita fashion designers because you are cheating yourself.

In addition if your favorite Japanese brand closes and you don’t actually purchase from them or purchase their items from the second hand market then you helped them close.

This blog post took me a long time to write. It wasn’t meant to beat up on anyone. I wanted to examine myself and the community objectively and investigate why smaller Japanese brands are struggling or dying.

Lulu ❤️❤️

Lolita 10 day challenge day 2: Events & Meetups that Hold Special Memories

I have had some amazing adventures with my close friends.

1) The first event that floods back all the “feels” is SakuraCon 2014. I travelled to Seattle to meet up with some girls I had met a couple of times none of us were close but after that amazing weekend we shared we all became very close.

My friend Rosie posted that Maki was coming to the USA and I had been really down in the dumps and I impulsively said yes I want to go in a comment on Facebook. So flew across the US to meet my fashion icon in lolita.

I ended up crafting crafting every night late and making custom veils and my own lace. When I arrived it was 1am Seattle time. My roommates welcomed me in and I pick out what to wear.
I worked on myself forever and much longer than my roommates because I was determined to get this lace carsousel that I had made on my head. When I got in the dealers room and walked towards the booth. A small lady in AP ran towards me and started taking photos and speaking Japanese. Rosie and Tyra walked towards me and it dawn on that this was her this was maki. I was so happy I wanted to cry she was so nice and sweet and perfect. She wanted to take a photo with me(ekkkk internal screaming internally screaming)

I wish I could conveyed that she made my life!!!
My full coordinate from that magical day.

Rosie, Tyra and I went to the panel where we got to ask Maki and Rin Rin questions. Rin Rin was delightful and very sweet.

We went after that got changed for dinner and walked to PF Chang’s and some Australian gentleman bought us all a dessert lol πŸ˜‚ they were on a business trip of some sort and I talk to everyone because I’m a friendly southerner.

We all wore favorite ribbon from ap. It was awesome.

We then went immediately to the craft store after dinner to spend all night crafting and laughing. The next morning we wake up to rumors of Mr Yan being in America.

When we get downstairs this man with the infamous Mr. Yan  hat on is in our hotel. Rosi, Tyra and I start talking about what a good Yan cosplay.

I said embarrassingly I bet that’s him as we cross the street and I snap a photo. So he walked pretty fast but I was determined to see if it was him. So I get close enough to see that it is him by this time Rosie and Tyra are behind me.

And he asks to have a selfie with us and posts it to the Internet.

best photo ever! We still laugh about this!!!

So we hustle to the fashion show. It was amazing and we all decide we want a dress in the show which was later called Crystal Dream Carnival.

It’s so perfect ❤️❤️❤️. I did end up getting this dress I still love it 😍

The Seattle lolitas are super awesome I met so many people that I have remained friends with. Here are our coords from that day.

The next day is the day of the tea party! We excited get ready and go to the tea location. We end up taking some seats along the wall close to the windows and Maki comes in and sits next to us. I’m so happy I can not contain my excitement like that weekend was perfect.

She asked us what type of pets we had like perfect day perfect.

It was also unexpected but I got my first snaps that convention. I still get emotional thinking that I was good enough to be in the snaps.

Rosie and Tyra also got snaps. It was the best event I can remember.

2) Rufflecon is another convention that I attended with Rosie. She really is one of my absolute favorite people to travel with. I had upgraded to the VIP package which came with a bag of triple fortune and enchanted Enchantilly goodies.

Most we played around the convention and I modeled for truly darling in the fashion show. I still love the deer dress I modeled and I’m sad I’ll never own it now that they are closed.

Probably the most fun was the tea party and meeting the Enchanted Enchantilly designer. She is so cute and sweet and I’m a huge fan of her designs and just of her as a person.

Rosie, Rebecca and I got snaps in Gothic Lolita Bible

After tea Rosie and I decided to drive to New York City and go to Baby the Stars Shine Bright.
I only purchase a couple of odds and ends.

3) San Japan

My fellow adventurers decided we needed to go on another road trip. This time we went to San Japan.
It was a very low key convention.

I made my luggage kawaii for this adventure. We had all gotten Crystal Dream Carnival.

So why not all dress in it!!!

We just milled around the dealers room shopping and having a good time.

I made a staff for the first time and I made it to look like Crystal.

San Japan that year was in July! It was so hot. Still we wanted to get a group outside shot. It was so hot though we quickly ran inside.

We went one night to a bbq place called Lulus and they had enormous cinnamon buns.

Our reaction to the giant dessert

4) Tekko
My squad and I decided to go to Tekkocon. This was just like a mini vacation trip. A friend of mine at the time lived in Pittsburgh so we met up and hung out a lot the first day while I waited for Rosie and  Tyra to arrive.

While waiting I noticed misako was there so I went to go meet her and she asked me if she could take my photo for her Twitter.

Some of my dear friends also got their snaps tweeted too ❤️

It was a blast even though I didn’t really do anything but just hang around the convention. I went with another friend to the botanical gardens. It was gorgeous.

5) DFT

I had moved to the northeast and I had been pretty homesick and I had been traveling a lot for work so I decided to fly to Florida for Dream Fantasy Theater. It was great. It was really laid back and I got to catch up with some friends from Canada.
I was in the fashion show. I must admit I was a Little distracted because I ended up having to work remotely but I loved every minute of it.

I had so much fun I barely have any photos.

6) AWA meta

I attended AWA for the chance of a lifetime to meet the meta designer. I put all my meta coordinates together to prepare. Admittedly I love older meta. I love the meta things from that period.

This is one of my favorites. I used to wear this meta dress to work all the time. The shoes are kate spade and the bag is Pooh chan.

I choose a Barbie collaboration for the tea party. The designer was talkative and nice and came around to socialize with every table.

6) mechacon

My husband and I decided to go to Mechacon in 2016. I’d only been to New Orleans briefly. I got selected to modeled for Alice and the Pirates and I was so honored to be selected.

I got twin with Lynda and she is just the sweetest person alive❤️❤️

The designer posed with all of us individually.

For the tea party I chose Sentimental Circus collaboration jsk.

I made the chiffon cape and hand made the wings for my shoes.

Our community that was at Mechacon. I’m so proud of our well dressed community.

I made the designer a small lace bat accessory. This is an awful photo of me but I was so excited to give her something.

7) AP USA tea party 2016
Something that I’ve always wanted to do is attend an AP tea party in San Francisco.

I finally got my chance and it was perfect!!

It was raining all day on Saturday. I didn’t expect this so I wore my hair and not a wig it did look good though but I was worried it wouldn’t be perfect.
I finally met the other half the AP designers.

Sand also the pouty princess herself Risa

I love so terrified in the photo I guess cause I was nervous.

Rosie and I getting snapped

It would later appear in Spoon

The youngest of our party Little Katie Kate ❤️ this is the cutest photo of her.

Our lovely table at the tea party ❤️ they were from Portland and so friendly and sweet ❤️❤️

This was my coordinate for the tea.

I was so lucky to get another snap for Spoon.

In addition Rosie also got a snap in Spoon.

This event was awesome the food was amazing and they had gluten free options and I was actually full when I left the party.
Rosie Won a raffle prize I was so excited her!!

I was really sad 😞 that it all came to an end.

8) Truly Darling Wunderwelt tea party
I traveled to Tampa to go to a truly darling and wunderwelt tea. The hotel I stayed in had a robot butler which was fun.
The event space that the tea took place in was gorgeous.

The food and company was perfect. Krisbot bot joined me and she looked great in her btssb limited release op.

We goofed off most of the time.

Before the large group was taken I asked someone to snap a photo of just Rosie, krisbot bot and I.

9) San X opening
This wasn’t necessarily a lolita event but I did go with my friends twice.

It was much fun both times I went well

10) my next adventure!

I know my next great event is right around the corner ❤️❤️❤️ I will always leave 10 blank because it’s where my future best adventure will be ❤️

I hope you all have as many adventures and fun as I have ❤️❤️

Til next adventure,
Lulu
